Tenderized sirloin, toasted garlic, and hot rice combine in a dish that’s so easy to make and even easier to devour. Knorr® Liquid Seasoning rounds out the recipe with that familiar and deeply satisfying umami feel.
Pound and tenderize the slices of sirloin until thin. Sprinkle baking powder over the sirloin and allow to sit in the fridge for a few minutes.
In a mixing bowl, combine the beef cube, liquid seasoning, sugar, oil, and sirloin. Really work the seasoning into the meat to guarantee full flavor.
Leave the meat to marinate for at least an hour. If you’ve got the time, leaving it to marinate overnight will ensure it’s as juicy and delicious as possible.
Cook rice in a large wok with Knorr® Liquid Seasoning. Toast garlic and lay on top of rice.
Pre-heat a pan and add a splash of cooking oil. Add the sirloin slices and fry until brown, then remove and place on a serving plate.
In the same pan, toss in your marinade and add the cornstarch mixture to thicken. When you’ve reached your desired consistency, remove from the heat and pour over your sirloin strips. Serve on top of hot rice.
