These Taiwanese popcorn chicken bites are addictively delicious. Chinese five-spice, ginger and Knorr Liquid Seasoning paired with the crispy skin is just a winning combo. Ready in under 30 minutes this will definitely be one of everyone’s favorite.
Mix the boneless chicken thighs pieces, Knorr Liquid Seasoning, rice vinegar, all your spices, and let it marinate for a minimum of 10 minutes.
Make 1 cup tempura batter in a separate bowl.
Heat up your peanut oil in a deep pan. Take your chicken pieces, coat in your tempura batter, place chicken in hot oil.
Optional: whisk 2 eggs in a separate bowl. Take chicken pieces, coat in egg, then coat in tempura batter.
Once chicken is cooked and plated, sprinkle white pepper and salt to taste then take the chopped green onions and Thai basil to garnish.
