- Char Siu Marinade:
- 2 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning
- 2 pcs fermented red bean curd
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 2 tbsp honey
- Pinch of five-spice powder
- Pinch of white pepper powder
- General Tso’s Marinade:
- 2 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp Shaoxing wine
- 1 tbsp white rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp red chili oil
- 2 tbsp sugary
- Pinch of white pepper powder
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 6 dried chili peppers
- Teriyaki Marinade:
- 5 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning
- 3 tbsp mirin
- 3 tbsp sake
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- Sweet and Sour Marinade:
- 2 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tbsp sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup apple juice
- Honey Sesame Marinade (for sesame chicken):
- 2 tbsp Knorr Liquid Seasoning
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp white rice wine
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp white rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
To make the marinade, in a bowl, mix in all the seasonings.
Transfer the chicken to a kitchen bag and pour in the marinade. Squeeze most of the air out of the bag and seal it. Distribute and rub the marinade all over the meat.
Let it marinate for 30 minutes to overnight.
Remove the chicken from the bags and place them on the roasting pan.
Reserve marinades.
Transfer the roasting pan to the middle rack of the preheated oven, and roast for 20 minutes, 400 degrees F (204 degrees C).
Remove the roasting pan from the oven. Brush the reserved marinade all over the chicken. Flip the chicken again, and brush the marinades on this side as well.
Return the roasting pan to the middle rack of the oven and roast for a final 10 minutes, 400 degrees F (204 degrees C).
