Pad si ew or pad see ew, is a Chinese inspired Thai dish and popular street food in Thailand. Try Lineeacarmen’s version made with Knorr® Liquid Seasoning for that umami kick and is perfect for those craving that familiar taste.
- 1/2 lb flat rice noodles
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Knorr® Liquid Seasoning
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tsp coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
- 2 tsp vinegar
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp chili oil
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 4 stems of gai lan (Chinese broccoli)
- 1 package of firm tofu, cubed
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of prawns
Wash and prep all of your vegetables and protein, so they’re ready for the stir fry. The gai lan should be trimmed and cut in half vertically.
While you boil your noodles according to the package instructions, mix and dissolve the liquids and sugar together.
Over high heat, use 1 tbsp oil, and add your garlic until fragrant. Next, add your prawns and tofu, until almost fully cooked.
Cook your gai lan until fully wilted, then push everything to the side, and add your egg, to scramble.
Set all wok ingredients to the side, and add another tbsp of oil. Add your cooked noodles and toss in the Pad Si Ew sauce. Add your veggies and protein back to your wok, and mix thoroughly.
Enjoy!
