Crispy on the outside but sweet and tender on the inside, our traditional spare rib and osmanthus flower recipes are beautifully simple and mouth-wateringly tasty. Fresh ginger contrasts with the dried osmanthus, while the light soy sauce works together with Knorr® Chicken Broth Mix to bring greater depth of flavor to the dish.

Ingredients
  • 22 1/2 oz pork spare rib
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tsp dried osmanthus
  • Marinade: 1 tbsp Chinese wine, 1 tbsp water, 1/2 tsp Knorr® Chicken Broth Mix, 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Seasoning: 1 tbsp Chinese wine, 1 tsp Knorr® Chicken Broth Mix, 2 tsp light soy sauce, 2 tsp sugar
Directions
1

Soak the dried osmanthus in warm water. Meanwhile, rest the spare ribs in the marinade for at least 30 minutes.

2

Heat up 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and fry the ribs until crispy on the outside. Place the ribs in a roasting pan.

3

Pre-heat the oven to 400F. While it’s warming, stir fry the ginger, pour in the wine and add the mixed seasoning. Cook well, then brush over the ribs. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

4

Sprinkle dried osmanthus over the ribs and serve immediately.
